We bought this 2001 IC school bus four months ago to convert to a skoolie. It’s in great shape, and up until this past April was still being used to transport students. It has been very well cared for over its lifespan and the DT466 engine has been rebuilt. A few years ago a hose busted and the bus ran hot and the driver didn’t stop driving it and that was the cause of the rebuild. Tires are all good and it drives and runs great. One of the last super dependable buses made before emissions.
Since purchasing we have removed all the seats, the ceiling, some flooring and a few side panels. We have disconnected and removed the heaters. We just have realized that, given our schedules, now is not the time for our dream skoolie renovation! Hoping someone else can carry this one through to completion!
