This 1998 Skoolie was originally a 77 seat Blue Bird T-2000 School Bus. The 5.9L Cummins Engine is mounted in the front with a 545 Allison Automatic Transmission. The engine originally was a 160 HP but I’ve replaced injectors, advanced the timing, modified the governor and installed heavier valve springs. The mileage reads 104,000 miles.

We have added an additional new comfortable seat with seat belt beside the driver so that you can sit together and visit while travelling.  We have vacationed in this bus in Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas, New Mexico, Kansas, Colorado, Missouri, Illinois, Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky.

We bought the bus from a school and replaced the master cylinder, calipers, rotors and pads. I also installed a pyrometer, boost gauge, electric air compressor, and exhaust brakes. The Coleman A/C’s are new and rated @ 15,000 BTU. The refrigerator is a smaller residential one. The furniture is made with walnut wood, the stove is salvaged from a vintage “FLEXBLE” RV.

The bathroom has a shower, sink, toilet, and a dirty clothes hamper.  The kitchen countertops are made of walnut as well as the dining room table and bench seats.

The potable water tank is 37 gallons as is the grey water tank. The black water tank is 50 gallons. There are 2 circuits of 120 v. supplied by an ONAN RV Generator. There are 2 storage compartments underneath accessible from the outside of the bus. One with the hot water heater in it. The propane tanks are also underneath the bus. We bought the bus in 2016 and spent the better part of a year making an RV out of it.

The transmission was replaced with a certified one built by Allied Diesel in Tulsa at about 85,000 miles. The tires are 11R X 22.5 Dunlop in very good condition and the gear ratio of the differential is 4.44. The bus cruises at about 63 mph.

The only thing I can think of that could be done is replace the 2 fan motors on the remote heater WHICH we have never used.
