Her name is Dagny, which means “new day” and she’s ready for a new owner. (i gotta downsize.) She’s quirky, eclectic, somewhat undone, and a wee bit boho. She is also fun, dependable, competent, and changeable.
The gentleman, from whom i bought her seven years ago, did most of her conversion. His hard work included insulating, walls, kitchen cabinetry, wiring, H2O plumbing, flooring, and skylights. Much of the wood he used is beautiful blue beetle kill. i still remember how jazzed i was to find her.
Then, with my somewhat limited experience, knowledge, and skill, i filled her in. She now has an upgraded solar system with four panels, a Nature’s Head composting toilet, two radiant heaters, an interior propane hookup, and a half-barrel shower. Appliances include a propane three burner range/oven, 2.6 cubic foot fridge, two heaters, two ceiling fans, and a tankless water heater.
Mechanically speaking, within the last year, she has a new accelerator,
flushed/new coolant, oil change, two new batteries, and six new tires. She passed emissions with flying colors and every professional who’s worked on her says she’s a keeper:)
She has blackout curtains, lots of storage, sweet turquoise sink, vintage toboggan shelf, and large clothes closet. Much of the items i used to create storage, seating, and shelving are items i’ve collected over the years. A few of them i’d like to take with me and i’m open to leaving some if they float yer boat;)
I admit the photos document many personal belongings as i’ve yet to completely move out. And, some of my construction may not suit you, such as a twin bed, a small dinette, and a simple platform couch.
Dagny is listed as an almost finished conversion for the following reasons: water lines are in place yet still need connecting to water heater/shower and kitchen sink, exterior propane connection is damaged and needs repair, couch and bed are simple platforms that can easily be disassembled and rebuilt to suit you, exterior roof vent has a leak, and front door has a small gap when closed.
i’ve done my best to be forthright, candid, and thorough. i believe the price reflects her strengths and weaknesses. Dagny and i eagerly anticipate negotiating with you.
