2005 Freightliner Thomas FS65 Mid-Sized Bus

Selling my 2005 mid-sized bus (27 feet long). I realized after purchasing that I just don’t have time for a project at this point in life. This bus is a clean slate!

This is a Freightliner FS-65. It was handicap accessible with the side door and ramp with no wheel humps. 

As an Arizona bus (Scottsdale School District), there is ZERO rust underneath, just one small surface rust spot on the floor where the hydraulics were for the ramp. 

The underside of the bus is clean and free of any corrosion. It also features front and rear air conditioning from the factory.

The powertrain is the 6.4L inline 6 OM 906 from Mercedes Benz and the transmission is the Allison MD3060. The engine runs perfectly and starts up every time. The engine has 186,751 miles on it. 

The original intent for this bus was turn it into an RV. Because of this, a lot of demo work has been done to the bus already. Below is a list of what has been done:

• Removed seats
• Removed handicap ramp and hydraulics 
• Removed rear heater and added bypass 
• Removed floor (this was extremely labor intensive)
• Chopped walls
• Removed ceiling panels and insulation
• Changed engine oil
• Replaced all 3 batteries 

The bus is in a state where the demo work is complete and it’s ready to be built. It’s ready to be converted into an RV. I have the title in-hand for a quick sale.
