2006 Chevy Express 3500 Skoolie
Daughter has grown some roots (coaching), so with rent now has to sell her beloved Birdy. She’s ready to go, and almost complete for off grid. Solar system works fine, just needs to be expanded for enough capacity to operate inline Bosch hot water heater and the induction cooktop. The 2 panels on top, one 100AH AGM battery, 2000/4000W inverter work great for laptop, mifi, phone, fan, water pump, etc. Plumbing is installed to get water to double sink and shower, just cold for now. Motor runs great, and around half its expected useful life at just under 277k. (Diesel fuel still cheaper than rent and/or therapy this will replace 8) ). Was a school bus in New Jersey so has some rust underneath. Paint fading a bit after being in Colorado the last few years, could use resprayed and/or your own wrap/custom paint job! Full bed in the back with storage options underneath. She generally left the middle shelf out for her bike to load easy. 30 gal water tank on passenger rear side with solar system/battery and room to expand it on the opposite. I was going to help her convert to Lithium batteries (2 or 3), add another panel on top and there’s plenty of space. Controller installed is compatible with Lithium. Has a Fantastic fan, and new escape hatch installed last year. It did also come with a Cubic Mini (Cub) woodstove, she rather opted to have the storage space when living out of the bus but was thinking about installing it after a few cold nights in Moab, Breckenridge, Glacier Nat’l Park last spring and winter. She went from CO to Moab, then up through Tetons/Yellowstone to Glacier, out to Tacoma/Seattle area, Cour ‘de Lane, Missoula other places she liked to hang out working remotely. Just put new tires and front brakes on it, power steering fluid leak fixed. No issues other than cosmetic, it’s actually fun to drive…located just west of Ft. Collins, CO.
