2006 Thomas Built School Bus with Cummins 5.9L Diesel Engine, AD2500PTS Allison Transmission.

I purchased this bus approximately two years ago from a school district in Carthage, TN.  I then flew to TN and drove this bus back to my home in Texas.  I did not have a single issue during the 17-hour drive home.  The engine is powerful and cranks right up.

Both batteries were recently replaced, as well as all fluids changed.  The serpentine belt and water pump were also replaced by Freightliner.  I spent hundreds of hours removing the seats, flooring and ceiling panels.

I sanded the outside paint almost to the bare metal before priming and repainting.  The emergency lights located on the front and back were all removed prior to painting.  Every outside light has been replaced with LED lights in addition to all new Thomas brand mud flaps.  The tires are in good condition.

The entry doors operate by air.  There is a rear exit door with interior lock as well as two emergency exit doors located on the roof.  Everything works as it should with no leaks.  Once I removed the old flooring, I coated the metal floor with a rust inhibitor paint before installing foam panels and tongue and groove plywood.  The floors were finished with a vinyl tile.

The inside of the bus was framed up to accommodate a queen size mattress with storage located under the bed, as well as a 100-gallon freshwater tank.  Framing also includes a shower area and bathroom area with a sink/vanity and a platform for a composting toilet.  An electrical/water heater closet was framed up as well as a storage area located at the rear of the bus.

Brand new kitchen cabinets were purchased and placed inside the bus.  They are not secured yet due to no rough in electrical and plumbing.  Counter tops were purchased with the cabinets and are included.  Other items such as a water pump for the freshwater tank, water inlet/tank fill box, exterior shower box and seatbelts are also included.

A back-up camera was installed and powers on when the engine is started.

In my opinion, most of the hard, labor-intensive work has already been done.  This bus is in a stage where it is almost a blank canvas for the new owner to change and create their own ideas.

I drive this bus several miles every weekend to make sure it runs and operates as it should.  There are absolutely no issues with the engine or transmission.

The body of the bus is straight with no rust.  Since this bus spent most of its life in Tennessee, it was never near the coast where it could be damaged due to saltwater.

My wife and I worked very hard on this bus but have decided to sell it due to making the decision to go another direction.  Our hard work is your gain.

I am asking $15,000 for the bus and all accessories/equipment mentioned above.  I have a clear Texas title in hand.  This bus is extremely reliable.  The new owner will be able to simply turn the key and drive it to its new home.

This bus is located in Winona, Texas.
