2006 Thomas Safe-T-Liner HDX Full Length Partial Conversion

2006 Thomas Safe-T-Liner HDX Full Size School Bus. Cummins 8.3 L diesel Engine, Allison transmission. Right under 200k miles. Title in hand. Runs and drives, new batteries as of Feb 2025.

We bought this bus in January 2022 from the Mid Columbia Bus company when it was just 4 weeks off route, so it was well maintained throughout it’s career. It has not been driven much since, as we have been working on it.
We did all the demolition of stripping the bus, and building it up into our dream home, but along the way we had a baby and changed jobs and realized that the bus dream might not be the life for us at this time. We put so many hours of time and blood, sweat, and tears into this bus, and we just hope that someone else is able to use her to her fullest potential! We would love to get the amount we put into this bus out of it, but are willing to negotiate the price for reasonable offers as well.

The floor plan includes couch framing to the left when you come up the stairs, and an additional seat to the right.
On the left after the couch is a pantry with custom wood lined coffee zone, and the hole for a mid size fridge.
To the right is the wood stove and then the kitchen counters begin with the framing for a propane RV stove, and then an L-shaped counter situation.
Down the hall we have the bathroom on the right, with a full-size shower pan and area for storage framed in. The hallway is flat, due to us having the wheel-well lowered and welded (talk to us if you have questions about this).
The back bedroom has a Double bed sized platform above the engine, with loads of storage underneath. Across from the bed is a framed in closet (the hot water heater is installed in the closet) and the washer/dryer hookup. There is another exit in the bedroom on the left side.
There are 2 under the bus storage bays on either side of the bus, giving ample room for the water and propane tanks, as well as additional storage. We had a custom metal roof rack/deck built as well.   

Things we have installed:

-insulation and sub floor, vinyl waterproof flooring (in all but the bathroom- the needed flooring for the bathroom is included)
– Framing is done and most wall paneling is up (bathroom still needs the paneling)
– Plumbing for bathroom (RV hookup style), shower pan is in, sink is included but not hooked up, washer/dryer hookup, toilet flange is installed. 25 gal. Grey water tank included, but not installed.
– Kitchen sink plumbing is all set up, sink not included
– Electrical is all ran and tested, 50amp hookup w/generator plug.
– LED canless smart lighting and switches/plug ins throughout the bus.
– Lower kitchen cabinets from IKEA, Sage green color, custom corner cabinet framing and framing for stove are done.
-propane lines are run for the stove and water heater, but need to be tested.
-Instant water heater (propane) 3.2 gal/min ($450 value) – Dometic Air-conditioner
-Coolant lines are reran under the bus
– Jotul Wood stove is included, with all of the needed pieces to install, but is not installed at this point. If you are not interested in the wood stove we can adjust the price accordingly ($2,500 value)
– tongue in groove ceiling is 80% complete ( just the area where the wood stove pipe is going is not complete) the supplies to finish this are included.
