Description
My wife and I have decided to sell our skoolie, sadly. We have taken it all over the PNW on some amazing trips, but want to get a larger boat for some water adventures and canโt justify having the bus just sit. We put $30,000 into it last year with the engine replacement and rebuilt transmission.
Itโs a 1990 Thomas transit liner (has a door in the center of the bus as well as the front) with a freshly installed 8.3 cummins, and a freshly rebuilt allison mt643. The bus runs and drives great. Cruises very happily at 65-70. It also has a tillman driveline brake, which is an electromagnetic brake for coming down hills. It has 4 settings, and will allow you to come down mountain passes without ever having to touch the service brakes or worrying about brake overheating.
It has a 2 burner propane stove, sharp carousel convection microwave, a pretty large RV refrigerator (propane or electric), full size kitchen sink, marine style water heater (makes hot water when the engine is running, or electric), and a marine-style wet bathroom (shower and toilet are in the same space so, which makes it roomier). There is a full bed in the rear of the bus, under which is the fresh water tank (100 gallon). The couches can also be arranged into a queen size bed as well. Outside, there is a nice zip-dee awning, 4 weatherproof storage boxes and a large deck on the roof with a pickup bed storage box as well. There are 2 smaller and one large solar panel on the roof. They are older, but work. Iโm not positive how many watts they output though. The front tires are 2 years old. Rears are older, but have lots of tread. Coach batteries are a couple years old, but test good. House batteries will be brand new as soon as a buyer is lined up (4 x 6v). There is a built in honda generator, but it is currently not working. It needs a control board, but parts are discontinued. Iโm currently trying to find the part, or will try to replace the generator. We typically used a predator 3500w just because it was quieter anyways.
