Perfect tiny house on wheels ready to cruise the continent or just stay put. Nearly 200 sq. Ft and insulated for 4-season full-time occupancy.

We’re moving to the West Coast, going back to school and are motivated to sell our little house on wheels.

After cruising the US Coast-to-Coast for a year and then spending the last two years based in Vermont, we’ve decided it’s finally time to part ways with our Big Beautiful Blue Bird Bus “Val”.

Our off-grid Skoolie is an awesome full-time Tiny Home for a couple and between the diesel heater, wood stove and portable A/C unit, stays comfortable year-round, even as far north as Vermont.

We used lots of Cedar and Poplar in the interior spaces and really has a lovely cabin-like feel throughout. Ample closed-cell foam insulation and resealed windows and roof also help with climate control.

Our design concept was to make the bus as self-sufficient as possible and comfortable in the widest range of climates we might see in North America; solar system, thermostat-controlled ventilation, internal plumbing, belly-mounted generator and composting toilet all help with that.

We purchased our 66-passenger Blue Bird bus from its home town of Americus, GA and converted it in North Florida over the course of 14 months with the intention of using it for seasonal work in Southeast Alaska in the summer and hanging around ski resorts in the Rockies in the winter (Our blog at www.buslife.org covers most of our conversion).

The pandemic changed our plans and ultimately we never made it to Alaska but had great adventures in the Lower-48 in the bus none-the-less. She is mechanically sound, has solid newer tires, we’ve always changed fluids and filters at recommended intervals and is a blast to drive.

Unfortunately, we’re both finally at a place where we want more space and I’m starting a new career in aviation so moving back into a house makes a lot of sense for us. We love our bus and are really going to miss her but it’s time for us to say goodbye and let her have some new adventures!

Val is currently parked on a private 1/2-acre rv pad with full-hook ups in the Champlain Islands of Northwestern Vermont and if the buyer wanted to, could continue renting the spot from our current landlords. Located 35 minutes Northwest of Burlington, VT.
