2009 Finished 30’ Blue Bird

We purchased “Alice” seven years ago. She has taken us on 38,000 miles of adventure with no major issues other than what is stated in maintenance section below. She’s been up the Alcan Highway to Alaska and across Canada and the US from coast to coast.

Now in our seventies, it’s time for us to let her go to another fellow traveler. She’s licensed, registered and insured as an RV.  She’s a dream on or off grid.  The bus is well lit, has warm wood ceilings, cabinets and doors with antler pulls and handles.

The kitchen provides plenty of storage; lots of drawers, cupboards and a pullout pantry. The propane stovetop, deep stainless steel sink with cutting board cover, magnetic knife strip, refrigerator and microwave make cooking a breeze. We have ample room for storing canned goods and staples.  The bathroom has a compost toilet and a shower. Hot water is available from an on demand propane water heater. There is also an outdoor shower. Fresh water tank 94 gallons. Grey water tank 35 gallons.

The bedroom has the most comfortable bed with lighting and cooling above. There is ample storage under the bed for clothing and bedding.  There is a wooden bookcase for shoes, books and games. Behind the wall at the end of the bed is storage and a rod for hanging clothes .

The bus is 30 feet bumper to bumper. There is a 4 foot deck at the back of the bus with a covered 3,000 watt quiet Yamaha generator which has been regularly serviced.   The bus comes with a 10,000 lb. super hitch. The bus has towed the car on the dolly easily over all kinds of terrain.

A storage rack is mounted on the rooftop. 300 watts of solar panels are mounted on the roof. A Renogy 2,000 watt inverter charger is mounted inside the bus.

Maintenance:  Bus and dolly serviced every 5,000 miles.  2 Renogy 12V AMG 200 amp hours per battery new 6/2024.  New brakes all around with new drums in rear 12/2024.   Steering box and slack adjusters replaced 12/2024.   2 – 15,000 BTU new air conditioners 9/2023. 6 New Michelin tires 4/2024 (over $ 4,500.).  Diesel heater 1/2025.  New shocks.
