1973 GMC B Series
1973 GMC B Series. Fully Converted. We are the third owner and it has been used for camping style living for the past few years. My mother in law did live in the skoolie for about 6 months until the weather made it too cold and she loved it. She outfitted it with lots of extras that are included in the sale. We added some insulation for warmth and also a small wood burning stove.
The sleeping area has 2 twin bunk beds with room underneath for a queen/king mattress. We used an air mattress underneath. There is also a futon in the living area that folds out to a full sized sleeper.
The kitchen has hotplates for cooking and could also have a microwave or toaster oven. It will need a new fridge. The kitchen is pretty well stocked.
The skoolie has a Bosch instant electric hot water heater but there was a freeze break which could be easily repaired with a new solder fitting or SharkBite repair. It is a top of the line water heater and would be worth the repair.
There is a decent sized wash basin for showering or dishes.
The skoolie has a WFCO power center but I have never used it. We just plugged her in directly to our electric.
The toilet has a separate pan for urine that can be drained and a composting station for solid wastes.
She was driven into place 2 years ago without issue but has not been turned on since then. We were told that the brakes will need some work to drive well again but I am not mechanical. She will need to be towed to her new location but with a little mechanical work she is a real beauty!
