Story behind our skoolie:
This was a passion project that my husband and I dreamt of for years. We were parents in a residential facility/ boarding school in Texas, and we desired to have a โhomeโ we could call our own since we lived in campus housing. All the details lined up, and we were able to purchase the bus the day that Texas closed down for the pandemic. We loved working on her and it saved our sanity during some very long and trying days. We lovingly named her Felicia Fancybottom (paying homage to our love of Pyschโฆ Watch season 1 episode 14). Our plan was to paint her rear bumper with sparkly paint to emphasize her fancy โbottomโ. We moved to Indiana in August 2020, and our skoolie came with us. We parked her in a storage lot, but we were not allowed to work on her within the storage lot. While trying to find a place to park her while we finished working on her, my husbandโs genetic condition required him to have massive open-heart surgery, and then he passed away three months later. After his passing, my time and energy has been spent caring for our three kids and establishing our new normal. It has been 3 years since my husband has passed, and we are ready for our skoolie to make great memories with a new family. I will do my best to answer any questions asked, but my husband was the one who knew all the ins-and-outs, specifics, wattages, and terminology. I am guessing that the actual bus battery will need charged in order for her to fire up, as I havenโt got it running in the past 2 years. Ask away!
