Hey everyone, my partner and I are looking to sell our school bus conversion home that we’ve lived about a year in. The bus is a 2001 AmTran RE300 with a T444E engine, has 109,785 miles on it, and is currently in good operating condition (tested again just a couple days ago). The bus is 42 feet long and 8 feet wide, for a total area of 336 square feet, comparable to a typical studio apartment in size. The bus features 4 separate rooms/sections, including a living room, kitchen, bathroom, and a bedroom in the back. This conversion was completed in 2021 with the assistance of a Class-A contractor and electrician.
The living room has a built-in bench that functions as a couch when cushions are added, with arms to set drinks/food on, in addition to a table across from it that can hold a TV, speakers, game consoles, etc. The kitchen features a working sink, electric stove, spice rack, lots of cabinet space, and a large high quality Galanz refrigerator. Across from the kitchen area, there is a wide desk perfect for use as an office space. Further back, the bathroom comes with river rock flooring, a working bathtub/shower with a tension rod for a curtain, a small sink, and space for a compost toilet (100 gallon waste tank under the bus). The bedroom has enough space for a queen size bed, as well as additional room for other furniture such as bookshelves or bedside tables.
This is the perfect home for students, people on a budget, or anyone looking to travel in comfort. All you need for this bus is a water line (or to fill the 50 gallon water tank underneath), electricity, and somewhere to park it. We honestly would keep this home if we could, but we are moving soon and parking in Boston is a nightmare, so it is no longer a viable option for us. We want it to go to someone who will truly enjoy it and take advantage of how cool it really is. And take it from us, nothing gets a conversation going like telling people you live in a bus :)
P.S. Price is negotiable, serious inquiries only.
