My completely off-grid, self-converted skoolie, completely custom built with lots of unique touches is for sale! All reasonable offers considered.
I’ve absolutely LOVED the past 6 months I’ve been able to spend in my girl Beatrice traveling full time, so this post comes with lots of bittersweet emotions. Unfortunately, full-time travel and Skoolie living has been a huge challenge for my pup to adjust to, so it’s time to find this bus another loving home.
39,200 original miles. You’ll be hard pressed to find another skoolie of this quality with as low milage as this one!
In it’s previous life this bus was a part of a school district fleet in northern Arizona, driving about a 3-4 mile loop 2x each day during the school year which has kept the odometer way down for it’s age.
All the work was done by my dad and me & I’m more than happy to answer any questions you might have.
Regular gas, 6.0L engine. When looking for parts or work on it, it’s a Chevy Express 3500. It’s titled, registered, and insured as an RV in Arizona. The engine was never rebuilt and runs great, has no leaks, and has been serviced regularly! Oil & fluids monitored and serviced meticulously. Starts up & runs amazingly, 31 gallon fuel tank.
This self-converted Skoolie was built to be fully off grid with all the comforts that you’d associate with home, including an electrical system (12V & 115V) that can run entirely off Solar energy (though also shore power capable), full plumbing with 30 gallons of fresh water and 25 gallons of gray water, a hot and cold water sink and shower, as well as a full-size bed, a 9000 BTU mini-split, a kitchenette, & plenty of storage throughout.
This skoolie is the absolute perfect size! More than enough room inside & you’ll still be able to fit in a standard parking spot, which makes maneuvering around cities when you need to much easier. She isn’t without little quirks, but all in all this is a super solid build.
