2003 Thomas Freightliner Skoolie - Finished but needs upgrades!

For SALE. READ FULL DESCRIPTION BEFORE INQUIRING. I’m selling my skoolie. I have such a deep emotional attachment to this little home I’ve built but it’s time it gets some more adventures. Serious offers only please. 😊 Currently located in AZ.

Specs:

• 2003 Thomas Freightliner
• 24V Cummins 5.9 Diesel Engine
• Allison 2000 transmission
• Air brakes!!
• Around 220,000 miles. The odometer is broken and set around 200K, however, upon inspection by mechanics, they believe this to be accurate. I have added the additional 20K miles I have driven it.
• Runs great, but it does have some oil leaks that need fixing. I would get it taken care of before driving it many hours. I have a recommendation for a mechanic in Phoenix.**
• Bus is from Texas and has been mostly kept in AZ. No-rust!
• Tires are in decent condition but need replacing soon.
• Spray foam insulation on walls and roof. Floor is board insulation over soundproofing.
• Drivers heat works great. AC Condenser needs replacing, quoted around $800~ (Fan works but no cool air).
• Radiator fan was recently replaced.
• Yeti Goal Zero Core 1000 charged by 2 flexible solar panels on the roof, powers lights, TV, chargers, hair tools, etc. Wall outlets with USB ports and AC power around the inside of the bus. Shore power via extension cord is necessary for powering the house size fridge and/or AC, space heater.
• NO running water, plumbing, or toilet** Built with a layout to make this an easy addition or have space for a cassette toilet. Water tank is included!
• No drivers seat belt, needs a new one. Lap belt is a super easy install.
• Bright/new LED headlights.
• Paint on outside is chipping away around light fixtures and mirrors and would be great to redo in order to personalize the bus to your liking!
• Roughly 30ft long from nose to tail. Around 10.5’ tall when running. Short wheelbase makes for easy handling. Fits in 2 parking spaces.
• TV, microwave, refrigerator, camp stove, toaster, coffee maker, window AC to use when parked, all included. Open to discussing other housewares as well.
• Rainbow color changeable LED lighting inside. Christmas lights are the main light source but you could plug in a lamp to the wall outlets.
• Ample under bed and couch storage, as well as a closet with hanging storage and shelves.
• Handicap door is great for additional storage access and airflow.
• Windows are tinted very dark, great for privacy and temperature control.
• Skylights are cracked and need replacing.
• California king size Bear memory foam mattress.
• Desk WFH space with slide out for keyboard.
• Vinyl plank waterproof and pet resistant flooring.

Long story short, Blue Skies bus needs some work. But she runs great, treks up and down mountains, across thousands of miles, and is beyond cozy inside. Good vibes are included. It will likely be a few thousand dollars of work, HOWEVER, the cost of this home is still going to be lower than a house in this market, and will bring you on far more adventures.
