This conversion was completely stripped to bare metal and built back with 3 inches of spray foam insulation.
The bus is built on a 2004 chevy express 3500 chassis with 84,000 original miles on it. It has a 6.5L Diesel and a new transmission with less than 5000 miles on it. The vehicle is currently inspected, registered and insured in the state of NY. (Title is in Hand)
The interior is cabinet grade wood. All water tanks, solar components, and the climate control systems are hidden inside cabinets or tucked under the bed.
This rig is an off grid dream with a fully equipped Victron Solar System. It has 400ah of Lithium Batteries, a 3000w Multiplus Inverter/Charger, 30 amp RV Shore Power, MPPT with 400w of solar, and an Alternator Charger for extra power when driving. The system is completely bluetooth enabled and temperature monitored.
The bus has a 30 gallon fresh water tank that is mounted inside a cabinet to protect from freezing. There is a shurflo water pump, filter and accumulator underneath the kitchen sink that runs to a 1.3 gallon water heater, the kitchen sink and shower. There are two separate grey water tanks underneath the bus. Both are equipped with RV dump connections. The bathroom has a full shower and a OGO Composting Toilet. The bathroom is fully water proofed and has real tile floors.
There are a few unique features on this bus, it has a spacious roof top deck with lighting and a mounting rail along the entire edge. There is also a back up camera, off roading/camping exterior lighting and a custom side table for cook out or outside working.
Inside the bus there is multiple lighting options with dimmers, touchable lights, nighttime blue light to protect night vision and main puck lights.
