1986 GMC Thomas Nearly Complete

Partial skoolie conversation with a lot of love and time poured in. Designed this myself and built it out with a local professional contractor, and had it wired by a professional electrician.

I’m selling it because, as it turns out, the bus life just isn’t for me even though I really hoped it was and would be. I’m not comfortable driving something so big, and realized I like space a little more than I thought.

There are minimal things left to do on this and most depend on what you want to use it for.

About the vehicle:
1986 GMC Thomas bus with Allison transmission and 8.2T engine. Diesel fuel.
Mileage: unsure. I believe ~200,000 but the mileage gauge is set to count miles on a trip, not total mileage and I have no clue how to get it back.

Runs and drives great. I brought it here from Vancouver. The previous owner brought it up from California.

About the conversion:

I built this out with the help of a contractor who specializes in tiny homes. Every cut is custom.

professional electric done by my dad who’s been an electrician for 40 years – he wired it for 110 and 12v, there are additional breakers available for more 12v wiring should you want or need it.

What needs doing:

still needs to be titled as an RV which is a very easy process.

needs either gray water tank installed under bus or to have an rv gray water valve put on.

Cosmetics. Interior needs some love and decoration and customization. The drivers seat is particularly bad and will need to be entirely replaced, but I still have it and it can easily be tossed back in and bolted down within 5 minutes for you to drive it away. Just definitely recommend replacing it ASAP.

As you can see, I started the process of interior design and decor but didn’t finish it. The bus comes with everything I purchased for it including:
