Description

Price Reduced! We’re moving and extremely motivated to sell!

Come to us with all reasonable offers, we will consider them! Also willing to strip it down to the empty bus shell for anyone seeking a blank project base, and asking $10,000 in that case.

A good candidate for Waste Vegetable Oil (WVO) conversion as well! Trying to find a new appreciative home for this 2000 International automatic diesel engine 29 ft long wheelchair-accessible bus with a fully functional Braun brand lift (useful for accessibility for humans and non-humans, easier for moving furniture and large items, a good space for outdoor cooking or patio setup. etc.) Lift rated to 750 pounds, so can handle motorbikes, canoes, etc.

Has portable solar set-up that was our exclusive energy source, though plenty of storage space and flexibility if anyone wants to add in propane appliances.ย  We have lived in this bus full-time for five months, which means weโ€™ve actually invested in how it functions and feels to live in, and have put a lot into the initial repairs and maintenance needed to make it a home. The furniture is secured with ratchet straps (included), which means it remains flexible and easily customizable for the new owners.

The engine is in great shape and well-cared for, able to do long driving days without issue. We are the second owners of this bus- the first owner was a company shuttle service which used the bus for various camp and church events, and we got it and did all of the seat removal work and made it livable. Weโ€™re rehoming it because we found the road life was a bit too much for us to navigate due to disability, and we have to move out of our foundation home and are hoping selling this can help with the move.

Whatโ€™s included:
โ€“ one not very fancy bus (this has been an advantage! much less risk of being noticed or targeted, because it doesnโ€™t draw as much attention or look too expensive)

โ€“ Two 200watt portable solar panels (400watts total). Two standard connection cables, two extension cables, one 2000Watt-hour solar generator (all Jackery brand, intended to be used together with no issues- this has been our sole energy source for everything- heating, cooling, fridge, cooking, charging phones and computers, etc.) The solar panels have been effective even with days of cloud cover, and can be laid flat in high wind days and still bring in 250watts or more. Easily repositioned for maximum solar intake, without having to move the bus (a huge plus!). Battery holds charge well, has three standard three prong outlets as well as USB outlets, can be charged from a standard AC three-prong outlet (found in most homes and some rest stops for quick charging) as well as solar, and has been a powerhouse for us- cables for charging from car 12v port and cable for charging from standard AC three-prong outlet included. All items still under warranty.

โ€“ Galanz 3.1 cubic feet retro mini fridge (two-door, so separate compartments for fridge and freezer) Energy Star certified, temperature dial for maximum control, fridge automatically turns off when temperature reached and maintains that well (efficient insulation due to metal exterior, rather than plastic), a significant plus when running off the solar generator

โ€“ stainless steel water containers (two 20 liter, one 100 liter with spigot for dispensing)- weโ€™ve used these with wonderful results- easy to clean, durable, rust-proof, and the 100 liter tank is setup and secured on a seat so thereโ€™s plenty of space underneath to fill water bottles, pots, or wash hands

โ€“ variety of magnetic hooks (some very strong, hold rating of 40 pounds or more) we used for hanging quilts, curtains, art, hanging storage baskets, hats, etc. on the all-metal roof and walls of the bus

โ€“ custom welded external spare tire mount that has a usable space tire in already, that sits under the back central part of the bus

โ€“ immense overhead storage capacity! Because this was a shuttle bus, it has metal reinforced overhead storage intended for luggage. We put everything from clothes and tents, to a guitar and food containers up there, along with so much else. This drastically increased storage capability, allowing us to avoid other built-in furniture for maximum flexibility. We were able to include underneath the storage a regular dresser, desk, two bookshelves, twin size bed with under bed storage room, and a tandem bicycle without issue, along with storing a walker and wheelchair. We secured what was needed with ratchet straps (which can be included). The bus also has a central path with no overhead above, which means thereโ€™s comfortable headroom throughout.

โ€“ In addition to the driverโ€™s seat, one fixed bench seat (intended for two people; one side currently holds the 100-liter water tank) remains in the front directly behind the driver for a navigator position, and two stowable bench seats (four stowable seats total in back) are in the far back- and these back seats fold up against the wall to accommodate wheelchair securements for multiple wheelchairs, or just give extra space

Also included:
โ€“ DIY compost bucket toilet with diverter

โ€“ detachable securements for multiple wheelchairs
โ€“ EZ Pass programed with this vehicleโ€™s specific and loaded with fare credit

โ€“ toaster oven
โ€“ wooden step-stool that doubles as seat for desk
โ€“ aluminum wheel chocks
โ€“ the remainder of a quart can of Rustoleum paint we used for preventative rust treatment
โ€“ waterproof roofing tape
โ€“ 3 x 5 gallon yellow plastic diesel fuel containers
โ€“ assorted extra fluids for the bus (including power steering fluid, windshield wiper fluid, engine oil, and transmission fluid)
โ€“ two sets of keys
โ€“ orange safety flares and traffic cones
โ€“ broom and long-handled snow/ice scraper
โ€“ two bench seats which were removed (one for either side of the central aisle), which can be reinstalled or repurposed by new owner
โ€“ a four drawer dresser that doubles as a standing desk area
โ€“ two short book shelves/storage shelves with space on top for counter area
โ€“ electric space heater and separate electric fan that can be used with solar generator for heating and cooling
โ€“ twin size bed with untreated wood frame- mattress is certified organic natural foam latex and mattress cover is certified organic cotton, and mattress and frame are non-toxic, suitable for those with chemical sensitivities and everyone else! The components (except for mattress cover zipper and metal fasteners in bedframe) are compostable and certified organic. Bed frame has ample space underneath for plenty of additional storage room.

Engine well maintained, newer power steering hose and fluids topped off. Was worked on by a professional mechanic whoโ€™s also a family friend, so again, someone actually invested in the long-term for the vehicle. Engine is at 120,760 miles, which weโ€™ve been told is less than half the expected life of the engine, if taken care of. 60 gallon fuel tank, averages 8-10 miles per gallon, and has fully functional cruise control! Already titled as a motor home, no CDL license needed. Given that itโ€™s under 30 ft, still meets requirement for entry into many state and national parks!

โ€“ titled, registered, and insured as a motor home until October 2023 (and just a standard Michigan plate attached)
โ€“ with no experience driving anything larger than a Honda Civic, I managed this vehicle just fine (backing up can initially be difficult without a spotter, but got accustomed to it)
โ€“ only cosmetic rust, but we took care to cover it with a protective paint coating anyways, just for peace of mind

We only cleaned with vinegar and non-toxic soap, so this has been maintained well for anyone with chemical sensitivities.

Iโ€™m sure there are things Iโ€™m forgetting to include here, please feel free to reach out with any questions or offers! We want the next owner to be more informed than we were when we purchased this, so that everyone feels satisfied with the transaction.
