Nash is officially for sale!
Originally a river rafting bus based in Lake Tahoe California, Nash is a 2003 Thomas bus with a 3126 Caterpillar engine and a 3rd generation Allison transmission on a Freightliner chassis. sitting at 215k miles. The bus was originally purchased from Truckee River Rafting with Mountain Air Sports Co by a mechanical engineer looking for the most mechanically sound bus he could find on the west coast. The bus was driven from the California coast to Nashville, TN where it was then sold to a couple who had been looking for a bus to convert into a Skoolie. They named the bus Nash and drove it from Nashville, TN to Naples, FL where the conversion process began in January of 2019.
While in Naples, Nash was taken to a commercial Caterpillar mechanic shop where it underwent a full mechanical inspection and was found to be tip top shape. After 2 years of conversion work, Nash returned to Nashville in January of 2021 where the couple continued to proceed with their dream for the bus. The intention was to build Nash into a completely self sustaining skoolie capable of operating off grid via solar power.
Nash has 1500 wats of solar with a 3000w Victron inverter paired to 400AH of BattleBorn Lithium Ion. Comes with new 100gal water tank, seaflow water pump, water inlet, and Excel Ventless Propane water heater.
Here in January of 2023, Nash is almost completely converted but the dream will have to be adopted by a new owner, as the current owners are investing in a house and planting their roots in Nashville for good. They would like to get out what they invested into the bus but will be considering all serious offers. Nash’s story up until now can be found on Instagram by searching @nashthebus.
