Bought a 2003 International 3000 in October 2020 from West Virginia and drove it across the country to California. She is super fuel efficient and we averaged 14mpg on our way here to California. Replaced the turbocharger with a brand new unit.
Started working on the bus immediately and we removed all the seats, painted the base with anti rust coating, and painted it black. We bought flooring for the bus and 800W solar panels and a white color vintage dresser. We love her and my wife doesn’t want to sell her but we haven’t worked on it for over a year and it’s been collecting dust since we have had personal hurdles to take care of with our family.
We can sell the flooring, solar panels, and the dresser if interested along with the bus.
The bus doesn’t run right now, the mechanic saw it and said the wire from the battery to the starter motor has been bit by a mouse and needs replacing and started it for us with a temporary wire to prove that he was right. He said it’ll cost a couple of 100 bucks to replace the wire and get her running.
The bus was registered in the state of Maine as a motorhome, the registration expired in April. You’ll need to renew it and it should cost around $80 to renew it.
