2003 International Bus Conversion

Professionally converted in 2020, this skoolie is titled as an RV in Indiana. It was our home for 4 years, and has travelled across the USA several times.

It features a 15″ roof raise and a with 6’10” finished interior ceiling heights, and a relocated entry door which allows for a proper co-pilot seating area up front. Single pane RV windows allow for ample sunlight and cool breezes.

1″ rigid foam insulation on the floors, and 2″ insulation (combination of rigid and closed cell spray) on walls and ceiling.

2100 watts of solar into 3 Victron charge controllers make off-grid living a reality. 8000 watt hours of LiFePo4 batteries and a 24v 3000va Victron inverter power 2 minisplits (12k btu up front, 9k btu in bedroom), a residential apartment sized refrigerator, and two 32″ Roku smart tv’s.

Starlink is permanently mounted on the roof. There’s a diesel air heater for those chilly off-grid nights as well. 30 amp shore power hookup for campground/moochdocking scenarios. Brand new tankless vent-free propane water heater and brand new 2 burner propane cooktop, also included is a single burner induction cooktop and a microwave/airfryer/convection oven combo.

75 gallon freshwater tank, 40 gallon greywater tank for the roomy shower, 30 gallon grey tank for the kitchen sink, and a 38 gallon black tank for the RV flush toilet with bidet attachment. The RV toilet could easily be swapped for a composting toilet if desired.

Bedroom in rear has a queen mattress, couch up front is a twin xl mattress on a frame that slides out to queen size–if desired one could replace the twin xl with a queen futon mattress for extra sleeping capacity.

There is tons of storage space inside as well as under the bed and in underbody storage boxes.

The bus itself has had lots of mechanical work and is in tip-top shape. New radiator/fan/fan clutch, new rear-main seal, new starter and new front kingpins and steer tires in 2020. New batteries and alternator in 2024.

There is a class V tow hitch on the rear for towing your trailer or vehicle (we flat towed a full-sized truck), and a small bolt on hitch receiver on the front bumper for a bicycle rack.
