Here is an amazing, fully loaded 40 foot Skoolie (school bus turned into an RV) with so many features. This is a completely livable tiny home. It is also suitable for boondocking, living in to avoid rent or the insane housing market, or using as an RV to go on occasional road trips. It would also be great for turning it into a money making AirBnb, VRBO or renting out through a site like Outdoorsy. Start earning rental income right away, as many people are looking to stay in unique spaces while on vacation!
Purchasing a home on wheels is a huge savings over buying a traditional tiny home or travel trailer that also needs a tow vehicle. If you have been looking at skoolies you will recognize that this one has been built with quality materials and the best brands in the industry.
There is a little bit of work remaining, really just the finishing touches to make it your own. The main thing that needs to be completed is the shower and flooring in the bathroom.
There have been hundreds of hours of work put into this skoolie, and to build your own buying all of the supplies would cost more than the price that this is listed for. This bus has nearly $50,000 put into it, not to mention *hundreds* of labor hours that have gone into it!
*About the Bus*
-Licensed, titled and insured as a motorhome so there is no CDL requirement to drive it. Now that it is a recognized motorhome on the title, that won’t ever change. This is one of the most difficult steps in building out a skoolie and it is already done!
-Bus is a 2004 Bluebird All American with a Caterpillar C7 Diesel engine, Allison 5 speed transmission and air brakes. Has under 134,000 miles. These engines can go 500,000 miles easy. The engine is in the rear of the bus, like you will find in the nicer motorhomes – it makes for a smooth quiet ride.
-Bus runs great. Rides straight and smooth. Bus came originally from a company called AAA Bus Sales in Arizona that is widely known for selling quality buses to convert to skoolies. They sell mechanically sound buses that will be worth the hard work of a conversion.
*Features and Add-ons*
-Front door of the bus is custom built of welded metal and glass. It has an electric code entry. Has a great front step/porch that is included.
-Very nice appliances include: microwave, Camping World oven with 3 burner stove, Bosch dishwasher, Splendide washer/dryer combo, large LG refrigerator.
-Beautiful butcher block counters and custom dashboard and shelving in the front. Under-mount stainless steel farmhouse sink.
-Has a 35,000 BTU propane furnace and a mini split, connected to a thermostat.
-King sized bed with storage space underneath. Mattress is like new and included.
–Nature’s Head composting toilet, with a small fan to circulate the air outside. These are close to a $1000 toilet, and amazing. Never have to worry about a disgusting black tank!
-100 gallon fresh water can be hooked to a pressurized hose (included) or filled as needed. Has an electric pump that will run automatically. Has a very expensive Takagi tankless water heater to supply hot water on demand.
-100 gallon gray water tank that the sinks and washing machine drain into. There is also a smaller (50 gallon) gray water tank in place underneath the shower area.
-Has a very impressive electrical power system, no expense spared. There are eight 100-watt Renogy solar panels on the roof and eight 100-amp hour sealed Renogy batteries to store the electricity. Along with a 2000 watt inverter, this system is perfect for boondocking as it can build up and store a lot of power. Wired for 120v from the inverter, or can do straight from shore power. (Cord included.)
-Maxxfan installed in the ceiling for circulation.
-Bedroom in the back of the bus has a lot of space available to add a desk/workspace or shelving.

Please message if you are serious about wanting to come and take a look. We are selling because my husband got a job that we had to move across the country for. My father will be handling the sale, and he has put a lot of work into it and is very knowledgable. Don’t miss out on this opportunity!
