The bus was purchased via auction directly from the school district for $5000 as they were updating their fleet. It had been continually maintained throughout its service. This is a full sized 40 ft bus with just over 104k miles.
We put a bit over $12,000 into our skoolie (not including the price of the bus). The $18,000 asking price IS negotiable as it includes (but is not limited to) the price of the bus, a $4,500 Eco Worthy solar system (2000 W 24v) that is installed and wired completely with 10 outlets and light switches & FULLY INSTALLED SHORE POWER SYSTEM, a $750 fully installed Della Mini-Split AC that can run Entirely off of the solar, a $1200 Grizzly wood stove with flu extension, heat shield, and exit kit, a $1200 Honda EU 2200i Generator, a $1030 Natures Head composting toilet, a $140 Seaflo 45PSI Water Pump and accumulator tank, $300 10 cu. ft fridge, $200 Excel Tankless water heater, $120 exterior flood lights (x2) $300 of fully installed Wafaer ceiling puck lights, $1600Compact Mini Washing Machine, and over $2500 worth of lumber, insulation, and shark bites. Also included are a 100 gallon fresh water tank and 40 gallon gray water tank, and a $200 water filter. All of the items listed are new and unused except for the generator.
The bus is in great condition and has all of the electrical done (huge plus), plumbing done except for the drains, and the frames for the walls erected. Plumbing was done with shark bites for ease of maintenance. The entrance door has been modified to open with an electric actuator and remote. It also has two skylights, custom made and openable, in place of the emergency hatches. It can fit a queen sized bed and we will also include a bathroom sink & cabinet (uninstalled).
